... is an original program designed for seniors.  Research tells us that the simple act of singing can produce beneficial results in circulation, respiration, and brain function.  Because musical memory is not stored in the brain where we find connections for memory, language or motor function seniors unable to speak might still be able to sing!    Scientists have also discovered that our musical memories and preferences are usually set in the growing brain around the time puberty begins. To reconnect with the music of their youth, I have collected "greatest hits" from the 1930's, 40's and 50's for sharing with seniors

in residential care around southeast Michigan.  These will form the foundation of a wonderful senior singalong ("elderSING") that your folks will talk about for weeks because nothing inspires joy and confidence like singing!
